We are having the best of every world at the moment here in Courchevel. Over the last week we have been enjoying fantastic sunshine and warm temperatures, with amazing snow conditions, and as soon as everyone is enjoying the sunshine but getting a little worried the snow might melt, it has decided to dump nearly a metre over last night and today. Apart from that, the resort is getting excited about the Columbia Ride week, where teams of two riders compete to create the best videos which show their extreme riding and the resort to its best potential, on Friday night these videos will be shown at Kalicos night club with a lot of après drinking involved. Best video wins. This week has seen a few drunken accidents, our poor friend did her back in whilst climbing to the top of the dance pole in Kalicos and then drop from a great height to the floor, sending her off in the ambulance I decided my days on the pole would be over from now on. We have also been enjoying some great themed nights at Rocky’s bar. This week was back to bed night, where many decided to come as bedroom furniture, unable to get through the door many had to settle for drinking outside the bar in the cold. Good effort lads.

I spend the summers working on yachts on the south coast of france, and have done since I left school as an alternative to going to uni. This summer just gone, I worked on a 40m yacht around St. Tropez and Portofino. Last winter was spent working for Picncis on the Piste in Courchevel..

My Favourite drink would have to be a Desperado (good old Despé).

I love the water and the snow, I've been very fortunate to have spent the past year and a half having a great time working for Quicksilver. I now have the best office in the world, the French Alps! I didn't do the uni thing, instead I went to Australia and Bali, had an awesome time. Boarding, partying, as well as making loads of friends and improving my French skills. So excited about what this season has to bring, let the snow fall and the good times roll..........

I’m working in Courchevel for the season, I’ve always wanted to work a full season in France. I was stuck in a really boring job over the summer and as I have always wanted to work a season, I decided to go for it and apply for a job. I was offered the first job I applied for and here I am six weeks later.
What are you doing for work on your season?
I’ll be working as a chalet girl in a chalet owned by an English family.
Is this your 1st season or are you a returning Seasonnaire?
It’s my first season

Role model- favourite rider?
Don’t have a favourite, but I did see a little girl the other day who couldn’t have been more than four, she was an amazing skier – I wish I’d been like that when I was little.
What you are looking to forward to the most this season?
Celebrating my birthday in TJs and Le Jump at the beginning of the season and of course snowboarding on Christmas Day!
One goal you have set yourself to achieve for 08/09 season
To become a better boarder than a friend of mine from back home, I have a bet with him that I’ll be a better boarder than he will be by the end of the season.
Any advice out there for people contemplating a ski season?
Go for it, you’ll have an amazing time!
