Probably the most impressive resort in the World. Based in British Columbia,

Canada, it’s the biggest and the best. Ridiculous amounts of powder, great back country and a vibrant, young Seasonnaire community.

A bit about Red
My name is Red Rainey and it seems that lately I have become a pretty lucky guy. I thrive in large groups of people, I have a remarkable affinity for making everything from nothing and I have little time for rude people, but always find a way to sway them. My favourite thing in this world is a good lunch and, if I may say so myself, I do throw a damn good party.

What are you doing for work on your season?
I am training to be a super-instructor in the art that is...

Is this your 1st season or are you a returning Seasonnaire?
Proudly, this is my very first season. The start of my snow adventures.

Skier/boarder
I'm a boarder.

Favourite Resort
Alp D’Huez so far, it’s the only big resort I’ve ever actually stayed in. In spending just 1 week there I drank my weight in chocolate milk, improved my riding immeasurably, made one lifelong friend, and had nothing short of a mind blowing experience.

Role model- favourite rider
Devun Walsh. The rider with the smoothest style in the whole world and possibly the coolest sounding voice ever.

What you are looking forward to the most this season
Waking up every morning and realising that I wouldn't rather be anywhere else in the whole world. That I’m finally doing what I’ve spent my whole life dreaming of.

One goal you have set yourself to achieve for 08/09 season?
Solely to improve my riding beyond even my own expectations, my goal is to surprise myself.

Any advice out there for people contemplating a ski season
Yes. Stop being such pansies and learn to snowboard.
